The Entire block is owned by the city and occupied by government buildings (except for McKinley House at 2111 McKinley): City Hall plus 3 additional government buildings (1. City Hall Annex [1925], 2. Alameda County Court House [1958-59], 3. Ronald Tsukamoto Public Safety Building – Police Dept, Fire Dept, and Jail [completed 2002]). McKinley House serves homeless families with children and is managed by BOSS (Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency).
